Specifications

At Glacier Ceiling Battens we manufacture a 22mm Metal Ceiling Batten with a rolled safety edge in Zinc, Truecore (blue) and Galvabond. These have a Base Material Thickness (BMT) of .38 and .42 and a Total Coated Thickness (TCT) of .42 and .47 respectively and are 6.1me long.

Our Battens are engineer certified for cyclonic and non cyclonic areas.

STANDARD CEILING BATTEN PROFILE

Advantages

Glacier Ceiling Battens are formed to Australian Standards and are widely used over timber battens due to the consistent and uniform shape, while the metal batten also helps with preventing plasterboard from cracking and other effects caused from timber shrinkage.

Recommendations

While Glacier Ceiling Battens makes every effort to ensure the quality of the product is consistent with the standards it is imperative that the installer follows the instructions of the plasterboard manufacturer for fixing, glueing and screwing.
